Doncaster`s comment that the Board would never challenge
the manager`s choice of transfer targets is extraordinary. What sensible retail business would give its purchase department a free reign within a budget to buy whatever products it chooses when the previous year all choices they made ( bar 1 - Earnshaw in the case of NCFC) were a complete waste of money. Indeed in any well run business heads in purchase department would have rolled at the top ( not at second tier level ie Foley in the case of NCFC.)
