DW on Christoph Buhler: “He is a hard working assistant. I can trust him and have known him for 20 years. It’s important you have somebody that you can have honest conversations with.”

*Christoph Bulher visited Colney for a few days back in April. He met Andy Hughes and Dean Smith. Wagner says he was very complimentary of the training facilities.*

DW: "Teemu will be out for tomorrow, Sam McCallum and Marquinhos will be back in training. Anyone else is healthy after the last game."

DW: "Sam had a tight hamstring so we took him out of training for five or six days. Marquinhos picked up an injury in training, not a bad one. He was out for nine days but will be back tomorrow in team training."

DW on Max Aarons: “Max is a good character and a good lad. He loves to do his job and is a top professional. He is always available and has lots of potential. I think he can get to another level attacking-wise.”

DW on double matchweeks: "It's all about recovery and getting a tactical message across. It's more progressed than a normal week, but we are used to this in the Championship."

DW on Tzolis: “He had a good week with our fitness department. He cut his knee when he came on Tuesday, so had three stitches. But he is available for Saturday.”
DW on whether Tuesday was the best performance since his arrival: "Yes."

DW on Wigan: "We always say it, the most important thing is we stick to our principles, our identity, play our football, no matter who is in front of us."

DW: "If it's a top three team or a bottom three team, that can't influence our mindset."

DW: "We have to prepare for the challenge in front of us, mentally and physically. We need consistency in our performances, that starts with how we approach a game, how we play in and out of possession."

DW on Wigan: “We won’t take them lightly. They played some good football against Bristol City last night. We know their pitch isn’t the best, so we have to be mentally prepared. We will stick to our football philosophy.”

*David Wagner has found a flat in Norwich. He goes on to say thank you to the staff at Barnham broom hotel where he’s been for the last five weeks.*
