Worthy must already have deals done....
I think that a deal has already been done for the exit of Damo... He must already been gone, and for quite a sum...
Say, Worthy has already agreed fees (not nessasarly personal terms) for the amount of players he has stated in the press. So he has deals lined up for around 6 players...
We don't want to spend the wages on players for a month whilst still paying Damo, because his new club doesn't want to pay his for a month either.
He doesn't want to rush in just incase Francis's deal doesnt go through, Francis could get injured or anything...
That's why he hasn't "replaced" Svensson's, Bentley's and Muller's place on the wage bill because there is transfer fees involved too... That's why we are only hearing noises about Jarrett...
Worthy is not going to start shouting out names just in case it doesnt happen... He could easily get, say, 5 players on his "B list" on freebies or nominal fees...
Question is, if Francis going for 2 or 3 mil ( or more?!!?) , and how many players have we earmarked that money for, and how much does Worthington have at the moment?...
Exciting times when the press conferences roll out, i guess! :)
