But Webber's rebuild was possible because he was able to sell assets he had no role in procuring or developing.
We are now worse off, with a poorer squad, and our four best finishes in the last dozen seasons were all before he arrived.
No decent signings since Skipp and he's simply not bringing anything to the table any more.
