A good deal of the criticism the club got was online, often from people who don’t go to matches for whatever reason. It was easy to see matches as they were all streamed, online forums were busy and generally behind what was going on. Negativity was also pretty low as the pandemic prioritised other issues. Taking people out of the stadium under those circumstances was arguably something seen as a positive.
