I feel like the tactical inflexibility...

and inability to change during games is something that could be said about Farke too. Substitutions were never his strong point. Maybe that's something that comes with having a very clearly defined philosophy (it was often said about Wenger too).
Although Dean Smith never appeared to have a philosophy and he wasn't able to change things either...
