He still has plenty of ground to make up and club governance looks like a mess.

Burning bridges with the local media is ridiculous and if he hadn't led the counterproductive hunkering down of senior officials, alot of the comms issues could have been resolved much sooner.

My main point yesterday was that he failed to offer a proper defence of Dean Smith when he needed it and that has a lot to do with the absence of channels for engagement. His strategy!

But yesterday was definitely better. More of the same and we may make progress off the pitch as well as on it.
