Why are people so confident we can’t go down?

We are 21st in the form table over the last 6 with 4 pts, and that includes the three we got at Swansea where we were very lucky to win. But for that we’d be bottom. This squad could very easily free fall from here, especially if some key players check out of this season and start thinking about their summer move. Anyone fancy us to go to Preston or Coventry and play em off the park? We’ve got Burnley soon after that. Birmingham at home is looking like a massive game to avoid getting dragged down further..

I don’t know who we’re bringing in, but they must be mad or desperate to take this on right now. And if the Board issue another “promotion is the target” message they’re absolutely deluded, and merely setting that new manager up for abject failure. Take a look at the table, performances, fitness levels, results, form and the appetite in the team. There is not one single indicator pointing anywhere but down. Sure, ignore the noise. But all those negative indicators are not noise. They’re the signal. The noise is occasional spawny win.

Oh, and we’ve already blown all our parachute payments according to Bailey. On players that haven’t made us better, and might have made us worse.

I’ll be honest, if you offered me tenth now, I’d take it.

I’m trying to remember what break clauses the Americans have around their investment. I’m pretty sure there were some key dates where they could basically change their mind and take their money back out. Anyone remember? If you weren’t long term committed already, would you be keen to start tipping cash into our leaky old bucket?
