It's a sad state of affairs all round
It just seems there are so many things wrong with the club, from top to bottom, on the pitch and off. So many bad decisions taken by so many people to assemble a squad poorly equipped for the division at (for us and most champ clubs) great expense, and a coaching team that seem unable to get anything out of them. Couple that with the senior leadership of the club being defensive, prickly and (as far as I can see) vengeful (willing to blame journalists for their manifest deficiencies) and what you have is a fairly complete omnishambles.
How far has the football regressed in 12 months under Smith? It's absolutely frightening? And how far has the club regressed in the culture it projects to the outside world and the way it communicates with the fans. There isn't a senior member of the leadership that is delivering if you ask me, and barely any members of the first team squad that I would care about if they left.
What must Attanasio thing of all this? Surely he'll want his money back as soon as key break points are reached?
