The churn is a pretty good indicator....

That profitability is an issue even if you have an extremely high foot traffic location.
I find it fascinating how well established companies go out of business.
Most operate on thin/non existent margins, so any slight misstep or downturn crushes them into administration.
I think we would all be shocked how many retail companies are on the edge.

I have this strange business philosophy of wanting no debts and high margins....

A lot of businesses these days are built to gain market share even if they sell every item at a loss. Their goal is to get bought out.
One of the biggest 3rd party sellers on Amazon tried this and flamed out when they couldn't get any buyers.
