Players not joining camp due to “medical choices”

Of course some can and will point at the players in question.

However. When a club knows well in advance that they will have a unique opportunity to get the squad together for weeks for practice in the middle of the season, and knowing that less than 100% of that squad are vaccinated, why on earth would you choose to send that squad to a country which means you’ll need to leave some players at home?

All that work (we hope) on getting that system right and learning how the system comes together at pace (exactly what we have missed) and then they come back, and you Chuck a player (or two) who wasn’t there into the centre of it and risk all that good work breaking down and we are back to square one.

Should have just done the camp somewhere in southern Europe. Was clearly more a marketing exercise than a wise football decision.
