Just got this helpdesk e-mail. Can anyone help?

"Is it possible to somehow relate the information I get from my first group of selections to the second group?
i.e. I only want to display Payments where the customer number matches a customer number which has been returned in the first selection. This would work fine where the user enters a customer number as I will be passing it in twice but if they leave it blank and select on salesman, I want to only return the second set of selections where the customer number is returned as part of the first set of selections
I don't think this is possible but said I would check. "
