Returning to Smith’s press conference

Having given it a listen, I didn’t mind his tone at all. He actually showed me that he gave a f**k. Probably not about us, but about his professional pride. He is clearly rankled by the suggestion he’s serving up s**t football and making us worse (even though it’s plain he is). I like that.

But what was delusional was his implication that Luton was a decent effort, we were a bit unlucky, we should have won. Luton was s**t. It really was the pits. If he’s looking for evidence to make his case, then god help us if he thinks that was anywhere near the appropriate standard.
