What has Webber ever done?

Is a question repeatedly asked, particularly recently.

We'll, he did the same job at Hudds and got them up and laid the foundations for them staying up.

Got us promoted twice, and the infrastructure around the place does look much better.

And yeah, everything can go stale and complacent - I still think everything about the appointment of Dean Smith was a panicked brain fart.

As was pointed out last night, Smith has a lot of credentials that people tend to look for when recruiting :

Had a promotion and a Prem survival under his belt.

His track record with developing players looked much more like us, and important - the issues on that front, here, now, are the thing that most concerns me.

I don't think that the squad are s**t. We've got too many players who are, age wise in their prime and who have torn it up at this level previously, and are looking shadows of themselves now, to level that accusation.

Team selection looks a total tombola - what the hell was that last night?

We need to find a short list of Farkesque promising managers and be prepared to use it when we decide the deanSmith experience has run its course.

The mention of Gerrard makes me roll my eyes. The job he did at Rangers suggests he might have some skills, or maybe that Scotland really is s**te...
