I would think 4.x is about right for averages
There are some letter permutations which are common, like OUND, REA, vowel-vowel-E, etc, which polarise scores, plus the first word influences your train of thought, whether subconsciously or not. Then there’s memory, because the words don’t seem to repeat. All kinds of factors.
