In addition, as a captain, Hanley doesn't set any examples or standards for the rest of the team. By far the majority of his passes are negative - sideways or backwards - which give him great "passes completed" stats, but what sort of inspiration to the team is that? Nunez, on the other hand, is like a breath of fresh air. Just about every time he gets the ball, his first movement is either to go forward, or turn and then go forward. Our best buy for a long, long time. And Gibbs seems to be close to getting there too.
