Back from the game, foo thoughts

Enjoyed it although as usual made it unecessarily nervy at the end.

Positives:

Sargent did well in what looks a more natural role for him. Gives us a bit of physicality up front which isn’t a bad option to have.

Nunez looks very good.

Gibbs slotted in and played in a manner that belies his young age.

Kenny did quite well at left back.

Sinani is a clever player but faded a bit.

Onel was excellent when he came on.

The win was everything and we got it, deservedly.

Slight concerns/things for Smith to ponder:

Again it should have been far more comfortable.

You couldn’t really tell Hudds had a man less after the ref card.

Hanley had an absolute stinker, charging out to the ball constantly and looking like he’d never played with Big Andy before.

As well as both Gibbs and Nunez played I was a bit concerned at how often/easily they were able to get in behind the midfield and run at the defence. We are still suffering for the lack of a genuine holding midfielder. Hurry up Hayden.

I feel like Todd, Dowell and Sinani is one too many flick, fart, fannyer in the same 11. They all like to stop into and play in the same areas. All good players though.
