I’m not a fan of sacking managers after a few bad results

But:

1. One win since January

2. Little discernible progress in performance quality

3. Frequently recurring basic errors

4. Lack of goals (with an international striker who has an outstanding record - similar to Holt’s falling away under Hughton)

You can explain all of those individually, in one way or another. High quality Premier League opponents last season, injuries to key players, individual mistakes which happen, Pukki getting older; but all at once and you might have to consider what could be the factor that affects all these things.

And sorry to say, but he wouldn’t be much missed.
