I'm sure Newcastle, Arsenal and Birmingham at the very least have played Prem matches this year with about that number of players injured/ill. They had to get on with it and put out the best team they could. Which is what Spurs did yesterday. Spurs didn't HAVE to play the ill players - they played them because they thought that even in that condition they would be better than the fit alternatives they COULD have played. And by all accounts the ill players said they WANTED to play.
