Look at rates

I found it was much better to get a car loan with my bank and buy the car outright, than buy the car on (any type of) finance from the vendor.

Depends on your circumstances and what deals you can get but, as an example, I got between 3%-5% better rate doing this.

Also meant I was able to borrow more than the price of the car.
