They never started him and released him at the end of the season. Lincoln then picked him up and he did well there and at Hudds.

Look, he's a great kid and I wish him well. But there's no way I think we should have kept him in 2018. He'd never have got the game time to develop with us into the player he's become. We managed him quite well, I think - he had lots of loans to prove himself. It was only when he got rejected by Millwall that he turned himself around; maybe he needed a bit of desperation. But was he better in 2018, 2019, 2020 or 2021 than the LBs we had playing then? Not for me, Brian.
