Mini Pub Crawl Update - Tomorrow and Tuesday....
Appreciate we have other issues to discuss after yesterday's disaster, but I'm back in Norwich tomorrow and Tuesday for what will be only the 4th time since the mid 80's. Instead of the other half I'm on a road trip with a couple of mates (an Aussie and a Scotsman), who have never been to the Fair City, for the purpose of tourism and Real Ale! All 3 of us are getting on a bit but are still pretty fit and enjoy a good walk. Thanks to those who suggested pubs and routes last week. So final advice needed....
We are staying Colegate vicinity so having researched pubs, and taken on board Wrath advice, I'm thinking Monday evening of starting Fat Cat (which I know is a bit of a hike up Dereham Rd) Reindeer, Rumsey Wells and St Andrews Brewhouse and Wig and Pen, Plasterers, Artichoke and Kings Head on Tuesday. Are these realistic? Can they be improved for beer? We will do the tourism stuff Mon pm and Tuesday and will definitely pop into The Murderers and Adam and Eve (where I had my first ever pint back in the mid 70's) during the day. Quite a few pubs are closed Mondays so not all good pubs can be explored. May well need to come back!
Any Wrathers in those pubs either night are welcome to make themselves known. I will check the phone regularly.
