bad joke...........

its the end of the crimean wars, the armys best leaders are back home with the king of england, who is dishing out the medals...........

king: "well done wellington, what was your contribution to the war effort?"

wellington: "well your majesty, i noticed my men were getting trench foot and morale was low, so i invented footware out of rubber which kept their feet dry"

king: "excellent well done - heres your medal"

king: "and you earl of sandwich, what did you do?"

EOS: "Well your majesty, supplies were running out, morale was low and the troops hungry, I invented a way of making a tasty wholesome meal using nothing but left over bread and ham which enabled my troops to fight for another 72 hours and beat off the enemy attack"

king "spiffing good show"

king: "and you, at the back (pointing to a young officer), what did YOU do?"

young officer: "err, nothing sir!"

king: " dont worry, your time will come Lord Pop-Tart!"
