It doesn't make him some sort of monster. Most really rich blokes have had favours from governments or taken advantage of loopholes at various points to get where they are.
I admire the principled stand of anyone who claims they prefer the fact we've had Delia for the last 25 years and presumably those are the same fans who don;t ever want her to sell up to a billionaire which is fine but I think most football fans who primarily just want their club to be the best it can be would look at 5 premier league titles, 2 champions leagues, 5 FA Cup wins, 3 league cup wins and 2 europa leagues and say Chelsea fans have had a pretty amazing time under Abramovich.
