I think that's a bit harsh on Williams' attacking ability

according to Whoscored - only Rashica and Gilmour have made more 'key passes' per game this season. He's well ahead of both Giannoulis and Aarons in that regard.

Perhaps he just doesn't think its worth putting in crosses when most of the time there is only Pukki in the box. Better to recycle possession in side and let the attack fizzle out that way instead of crossing it and risking getting caught out of position on a quick counter.
