The squad is not good enough, Webber has been inept again but also the tactics were awful
I thought we’d seen the last of Gibson and Hanley lining up on their own goal line to receive short goal kicks. I certainly didn’t think I’d see it under Smith. But it was a deliberate tactic last night and we must have lost possession in our own half 20 times due to it. We couldn’t get out, they just pressed us into the corner and we coughed the ball up.
It was embarrassing and frankly the fact we didn’t stop doing it after 20 minutes when it was clear it was a problem is a worry.
