Was having this discussion with my wife earlier. If UK had been invaded instead, we’d have been several hundred miles from our kids (at grandparents for HT). I’d probably be dragged off to fight (or get shot anyway). she’d somehow have to find the kids in a war zone. very possible none of us would ever see each other again.

And this could be someone’s reality in Ukraine right now. Mental.
