yep, the despondency for me isn't that we played badly

it's that despite our better performances in the last few weeks, we're still going down. We just left ourselves too far off the pace with results before Christmas.

Some of the other clubs low down were bound to pick up in form and with them having games in hand, we're getting left behind.

We'd have had a genuine chance with Smith in charge from the start of the season imo.
