Just back from the game. Was it over the line, and was it a pen?

Another day we were leading 2-0 and it’s a different game.

ManC were a bit relentlessly good at the end of the day. I didn’t feel we were gimped off the ball like we were against Palace; rather they were just better at football. That said it was all a bit, well, dull frankly. Machine like. No passion or joy in it.

Sarge is an important out ball for us. We were well drilled in defence but slow to close them down at times. It seemed we were giving them space up to the final third and then not; but sometimes we felt slow to close them down in that final third.

We signed Rashica and Tzolis for £lots and it was a bit of a coup. If Tzolis never works out it’s still brilliant business in my book. Rash was excellent tonight - if only he’d finished early doors - and would surely be worth £reallylots were we to sell him (which we’d be mad to do). And I think Tzolis will come good but maybe next term rather than this.

I’ve had a lot of strong beer and some rather lovely gin. So I may be talking utter bollocks. So it goes.
