So I went to bed. Now I'm up.

Only I got lucky with the right two letters on go 6. Not that there were many left to choose by then.

However I do think I (and you) played it properly on 'hard mode'. The proposal put by CWC and others to use a full selection of letters it might be once you are sure of some definites is playing Wordle on the normal or easy mode. Fair enough, perfectly allowed. However I think it is more fun and more of a challenge if you must use correct letters once discovered, even if occasionally it will lead to multi answer outcomes like today's puzzle and the wrong (logical) guesses are made. Just Bad Luck. I was lucky in 6 - the previous day it was 3. That's the way it goes....
