Unacceptable (Long Message)
If 7th or 8th was "acceptable", then 9th is clearly unacceptable. In my job, if I turned in an unacceptable performance, I would be out on my ear, so should Worthington be. He needs to go NOW while our Managers job is still an attractive one. I personally think we have a decent set of players, with one or two exceptions, and we should be doing better.
I don't "expect" we should win every game, I don't "expect" we should win the League. What I do expect, however, is to know that we are heading in the right direction, that we have a policy that will see new young players coming through, that the supporters and club are together in wanting the same things.
That clearly is currently not the case, and that is one man's fault.
He has had a decent go at it, had some successes, given us some good times (and plenty of bad ones!), but now it is time to move on.
I don't know who should come in, but we have a well rewarded Board who are paid to make these decisions. I would hope that they see that it is not working and have the courage to make the right decision over the summer, and the skill to make the right appointment.
We cannot afford to have another season remotely like this one.
