Doncaster

Neil Doncaster's comments in the EDP yesterday smack of complacency. He talks about June being a traditionally quiet month because nobody is interested in paying wages to players before they get back for pre-season.

Newsflash Neil - Palace, Sheff Utd, Leicester and numerous others of our promotion rivals are all signing players now. We are being outmaneouvred in the transfer market by the very teams we will be competing with next season.

My suspicion is that Worthy has very little to spend in the transfer market. This is why we have generally been linked with Bosman's. Nigel is waiting to see if he can generate any cash from the sales of either Francis or Green.

At present we do not have a large enough squad to mount a sustained challenge next season. The clock is ticking.
