the fact is

there is always an injury blow just before a world cup. Think about how many injuries have screwed things up for us:

Keegan 82
Robson 86/90
Fowler 98 (ok, a bit tenuous)
Beckham/Gerrard 02

we've got to expect to lose one player to injuries, and hope that we have enough strength in depth to cover it. I'd love to see crouch get full games and ashton to get a call up, tbh.
