what % of our expenditure is on hard goods?

or on transportation?
or on salaries for normal earners?

Let's get real here - inflation will be a tiny proportion of our expenditure next season. And the club has more than enough discretionary spend that it could cut instead of making it more expensive for fans to go to games at a time when those same fans are facing huge large squeezes on household incomes.

We're not a commercial enterprise beholden to shareholders and rates of return. We don't 'have' to pass on costs to supporters. The club 'can' choose to absorb this. It has taken moral stands before (BK8). It can do so here if it wanted to.

If they really feel the need to extract more cash from punters, they could apply a voluntary levy of 10% that's then ringfenced for playing staff budgets and wot not. Let those who want to pay more to millionaires do so.
