Newcastle are in a tough spot from a recruitment perspective I think
There best chance of getting high quality players is a loan to buy type arrangement, because I can't see many very good players wanting to take the risk of relegation.
Wood is a reasonable signing, but more in the context of being an excellent player next season if they get relegated than someone that is going to completely turn their season around.
Newcastle might stay up, but if they do, it will be by the skin of their teeth. Can't see them having a miraculous turnaround.
