I can accept that it might have been time for all parties to move on and I acknowledge that I tend towards wanting to stick with managers for longer than might be sensible.

Remain to be convinced that Smith is the right man for the next iteration and am doubtful that he was ever high up on the succession planning list of options.

Got my backing tho.
