The "lack of ambition" posts are way off base.

We TRIED to buy players with huge potential.
We spent a lot of money, more than we have ever spent.
(sorry about posting actual facts)
So far it hasn't worked.
We wont be the first team (or last) in the PL who has spent big yet got relegated anyway when it didn't work out.

The only crumb of comfort is we bought a number of younger players so its possible they could work out eventually.
