My son went on cub camp at about 7yrs too. Once he got there and ran around like a loonus with his friends he was fine.

Night-time could be the lip-trembly time, but as long as the leaders get them well fed and exhausted they should fall asleep pretty quickly (after a bit of farting/giggling no doubt).
