US is a lot harder to get to than here, mostly because it’s further away from Africa and the Middle East. English is still the common denominator.

The Eastern Europeans were over qualified maybe, but they were still able to earn more here doing a “lesser” job than at home. The fact remains that the British working class who used to fill those jobs don’t / didn’t want to, for whatever reason.
