Had we sold Todd in the summer he would instantly have become the Bestest Player Ever, selling him would be Lack Of Ambition and another reason to Sack Them All In The Face.

But he's not playing and he's worth quite considerably now than he was then, in my oh-so-humble.

I think if we go down we might need to sell one just to balance the books after the covid hit, wages, etc. We might need to sell two to be able to buy anyone.

On the upside despite the hyperbole earlier what we put out today, our barebones squad that clearly wasn't up to today's game, would be really quite handy in the Champs. It's easy to forget how massive the jump in quality is, even as we struggle to breathe having romped through the division last term.

My niggling doubt is what others alluded to the other day: we don't have That Player, the talisman. Maybe he will emerge as the season goes on. I mean he better bloody had...
