Norwich were getting Helveg and Bentley on loan whilst Ashton was the star signing at 7m. The rest was a 1m here and there.

15 years on Norwich have spent 40+ million in an age where a Leeds team strugging blows 100m+ and still only sits outside the bottom 3.

The reality is it is too easy to bash the management and coaching team for this. They are working with what they have and it consistently fails.

It's very easy to do this but the board get a free pass time and time again whilst good coaches are simply pushed overboard

The board know exactly what they're doing, they won't stray from the method. It's just a shame good professional coaches are blamed for their strategies
