Saw Smiffy’s comments on the beeb text after the game, saying the pen was soft and the ref let Man Utd referee the game. Absolutely this.

And it’s about f**king time that WE complained like arseholes all game to the ref and tried to put them under some pressure too. We’ve become so accustomed to getting shafted by the ref we don’t even grumble any more. Way too nice, way too compliant. Time for us to match them up. Go into every game saying “we’re owed penalties, we’ve got incredibly soft ones given against us”. It DOES make a difference.
