Know what you mean

Mixed and contradictory set of thoughts about today. Things look more optimistic under Smith and Shakey (“s**t can that”). We’re playing better, have matched sides more closely and not looked out of place, and have definitely tightened up. But then again we were pretty poor against Newcastle. And also fair to say that Spurs away feels just a bit above our pay grade, especially as Conte has got them playing miles better than they were.

So you never know, but I’m not expecting points. Would take a draw right now and be delighted. And want to see a performance that is a long way from the “lambs to slaughter” rubbish we served up earlier these season at times.
