I think in the premier league it’s “take or pay” for tickets with no returns
Which means the club has to guess how many are required in advance and with Covid still affecting some supporters it is harder which is why the allocations have “sold out” but been at less than max.
Newcastle is a great example how many more than 1000 would go to a televised game at night in November? Could we sell all of another 2000?
The club should now have the capability to make better guesses by using the membership scheme to avoid issues like the Chelsea one.
