The stripped back old school format. I can't really think of any message boards that work better.

In terms of new features, the lack of being able to post photos /videos is probably the biggest point of difference I can see (apart from as links), though, again, I think it helps the site stay focused on discussion rather than the usual endless dross that does the rounds on twitter and other media.

I suppose there's also the thorny issue of moderators too, and at times over the past few years I've felt sorry for Ben having to wade in periodically to ban repeat offenders /delete threads.

I think the site works well for the majority of users and the simplicity is definitely a strength.

It's also really cool that it is essentially run by a fan and not freighted with endless ads/pop ups and videos that snarl it up and make it unusable.
