Wasn't the 9/11 thing all a bit of a misunderstanding.

As in, in the wake of 9/11 some Americans at an airport encountered some lashed up footballers.

Really it was papers looking for offence on the behalf of others as it was open season on young footballers at the time.

They were pissing on an effigy of the WTC or chanting under an Al Quaeda banner... Just boozed up and ignorant of others.
