Looks like Webber decided to sack him Thursday and the board agreed Saturday

So by that point they could either leave him in charge for half the international break, while they sound out replacements, to make sure they had one lined up already, or clear him out quickly.

I think it makes sense to not have him about if we know things are going to change. Whether we could have come to that decision earlier in the week though...
