Gutted….probably the right call but was so desperate for him to sicceed

His prem record was terrible though and a lot was down to him. I think he lost his nerve a bit and started to sound like Hughton. Started to make strange tactical decisions, and couldn’t manage the game so frequently other managers outfoxed is in second half. Also get the feeling that if we signed Messi in his prime Kenny McClean would keep him out of the side….

I do think it’s probably the right call but I’m gutted and frankly I would have kept him after the wine cause I lack the ruthlessness

I wish him every success and will always remember those two seasons
