owned by the Gough family (not mine though) then as you stand on the steps of the ivy clad building at the front looking towards the Abbey Gardens, then glance over the cars to your right and the big white building running adjacent is the Athaeneum. Holds civic/social functions, business meetings, tea dances and you can give blood there.*

*Usually only when the National Blood Transfusion pay their monthly visit. Although you can give blood late on a Saturday night outside the kebab house opposite if that's your want.
