does Farke want people to train through minor injuries and risk aggravating them then?

I don't really understand Farke's arbitrary 'must complete two full weeks before being picked' criteria.

You either pick the best players you have fit & available, or you pick the ones that have trained well.

Whether Cantwell merits a place based on ability & system we now play is a different debate. but if he does, then it's daft to leave him out just because he hasn't completed two full weeks of training.
